Dairies, Decks and an 18th Birthday

We had ourselves quite the busy weekend! But it was fantastic, we really enjoyed it. Especially the part where I didn't have to go up to Rexburg at all. Woo hoo! A weekend off from school, finally.

Our weekend started Friday and we decided to go out to Reed's Dairy for ice cream. I had heavenly hash ice cream (chocolate with caramel and grasshopper cookies - yum!) and Tyson had licorice ice cream. Can't say I care too much for that! While we were there we walked over to the petting zoo they have. We walked around and saw sheep, goats, and ducks. It was so fun!

Tyson caught a duck that had been hanging out at his house last summer and his dad brought him over to live at the dairy with the other ducks. His name is Quackers.

On Saturday morning we got up and immediately started staining our back steps. It took us longer than we thought, but it looks great!

We also got a lot of yard work done. Tyson mowed the lawn and we got the sprinkler system turned on. Afterward we went to Home Depot and picked up more bark to put in the flower beds. We also bought a holder for the hose in the front and some stepping bricks for it to sit on. I just love the feeling of a groomed lawn! We'll get flowers planted in a few days. Can't wait!

After the yard work we went grocery shopping, then to a family barbecue at the Miller's. I forgot my camera though! It was fun being able to get together with the family at Tyson's parents'. Our sister-in-law Kristi (Clark's wife) is having a baby any day now, and we were trying to come up with ways to get her to go into labor. Hopefully little Bailey joins us all very soon!

On Sunday we went to church and had our first day in Sunbeams - our new calling. There are two Sunbeam classes and we have the second one. It has seven kids in it, but this week we only had two. It felt like a lot more than that! But we had a good time and enjoyed teaching the lesson entitled, "I am Thankful for my Hands." The kids are cute.

Later in the afternoon we went to my little brother Adam's seminary graduation. It was really nice, and we were all really proud of him. I can't believe he's graduating high school in a couple of weeks! My baby brother is growing up! After the graduation we went back to my parents' house and celebrated his 18th birthday, which was Friday but he celebrated with his friends then. They threw him a surprise party. My little brother is 18!!

I'm pretty sure he got all his favorite things for his birthday: chocolate, money, and iTunes gift cards ha ha.

We love you, Adam! Happy birthday!

After dinner and cake we all went back and played ring toss. Tyson had never played before so we thought it would be a good time to get him ready for the annual Murri Ring Toss Tournament in August. He did a great job!

We had a very nice weekend. We just love being able to spend time with family!

I'm kind of sad that you got put into primary. I guess we'll just have to have you guys over to chat with you.
