Must-Have #1: O.P.I Nail Polish

You're probably chuckling right now because I am posting about nail polish. I would laugh too if I saw it so it's ok! But this right here is a big deal. And I thought I would post every now and then about something in my life that I love and is one of my favorite things. So I decided to start with my O.P.I nail polish. It is the best! You know you're a girly girl when one of your favorite things to do is keep your nails painted. I always have my nails painted, and with nothing other than O.P.I. I love it! There are so many colors to choose from and it stays on great. I have mostly reds and pinks. Sometimes, if I go a while without spending money or I think I did something great, I reward myself with a new O.P.I color. It's a great incentive to not spend my money otherwise! Amy went to a hair and beauty show in Salt Lake this weekend and she bought me a new nail polish at the O.P.I booth. How awesome is she! She said when she saw the O.P.I booth at the show she was so excited to see all the colors, and she thought of me and how much I would love to see it. She knows me well! O.P.I nail polish is definitely on my list as one of my must-haves.

For Sale

Seasons 3 and 4 of "MacGyver" on DVD - brand new!

That's right, you're seeing correctly. I'm trying to sell "MacGyver" DVD's. I know this is an incredibly random sale, but I would really like to sell these. I bought both seasons over the internet and I don't need them anymore. I would return them, but I bought them too long ago and they won't take them back. So I'm trying other means to sell them. They're awesome DVD's and they can't be found in stores! They're still in the plastic, I've never opened them. I bet the men in your lives would love these! :) If anybody is interested in them or knows somebody that could be interested in them I would love to sell them to you. I'm thinking around $25 a piece or $40 for both, but I will take offers as well. Let me know if you're interested! You can call me, e-mail me, or just leave me a comment. Thanks so much!

Turning My Blue Sky "Grey"

After what has seemed like a year, history was finally made this evening at 8:00 pm: "Grey's Anatomy" season 4 finally continued with a brand new episode - and it was great! Some friends and I had been planning this party for weeks ever since we found out when the next episode was going to be aired. Amber, Kayla, Stephanie, and I went to Anna's house to indulge in what could very well be one of the best television shows of all time. Some might think I am a little odd for finding so much excitement in a tv show. But have you seen "Grey's Anatomy"?! It's wonderful! And tonight's episode was awesome. For those who haven't seen the new episode yet, I suggest you do one of two things: 1) watch it tomorrow night at 8:00 on tv or 2) go to abc.com and watch the full episode online. It will be so worth it! And if you've seen it already, feel free to call me up anytime and we'll discuss it. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it and call me! It is so great! After such a crazy week it was nice to relax with some of the girls and enjoy something we love. I love "Grey's Anatomy", and I can't wait for next week's episode! The preview is crazy!

Sporting the Blue

Amber, Amy, and I dressed up as Christina, Addison, and Meredith from "Grey's Anatomy" Halloween of '06. Those name tags had the faces of the characters on them, it was so fun!

I also wanted to quickly say thank you to all of my friends and family out there who have been so supportive over the last couple of weeks. Things haven't been easy by any means. But your kindness and sweet words have helped me more than you will ever know. I appreciate all of your love and thoughtful gifts, cards, and hugs. You guys are the greatest, and trials like this remind me of how much support I have and how many people love me. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. You mean the world to me!

Time Takes Time

Time takes time. My great friend and former roommate, Katie, helped me come to this conclusion this evening. I was on my way to Rexburg tonight to spend some time with our former roommate, Sydney, and I decided to give Katie a call. I hadn't talked to Katie in a while, and during this particular conversation we discussed the frustrations of enduring trials and not being able to know everything all at once. Recent events have led me to struggle with this concept. How nice it would be to know exactly what my future holds for me so I can have a peace of mind and feel that comfort of knowing for certain everything is going to turn out all right.

I would love to see where I'm going to be in a year or two so I could feel better about the trials in my life right now. But how would I learn anything about myself and my life if I had all the answers at the beginning? If life were easy, we would have nothing to show for our time here.

President Boyd K. Packer said: "Life will not be free from challenges, some of them bitter and hard to bear. We may wish to be spared all the trials of life, but that would be contrary to the great plan of happiness, 'for it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things' (2 Nephi 2:11). This testing is the source of our strength."

I'm grateful for my trials because of the blessings that come from enduring them. I may not feel grateful at the time, but in my soul I know that there is something better that will come because of how I deal with my trials. I know that although I may struggle at times, things will eventually get better. And I will always have a loving Heavenly Father by my side. He will never leave us, especially during times of need. And it is at these times in our lives when it is especially important to keep that closeness there. All is well when we have an eternal perspective.

I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows me. I am grateful that though I now often feel alone and wonder why my life has taken the turn it has, He is there to comfort me. I'm so happy to have the family and friends that I have and how supportive they are. Time takes time. And as much as I want all the answers now, I know that is not possible. There is too much I have left to learn about myself before I can have all my questions answered. If life were easy, it wouldn't be hard. In the words of President Gordon B. Hinckley: "Just do the best you can, but be sure it is the very best. Then leave it in the hands of the Lord."

I Need Help

I need a tan, but I really don't want to tan in a tanning bed. I have started to get a little paranoid about my skin, and I don't want skin issues from tanning. Am I being too much of a freak about it? I guess what I'm asking is if anybody knows of any good lotions or towelettes or any form of sunless tanning or tanning bed-less tanning. I need something that is actually going to work for me. Or should I just buck up and go tanning at a salon? What about mistic tanning? I don't know, I'm confused. But I don't want to turn out like that girl in the picture! If anybody has any input at all I would LOVE your help! Thanks so much!!
