It Lives! / Brycen Update

The Stacy Pasley blanket lives!!

In Brycen's 16-month-old post I mentioned that he has been in LOVE with this blanket since for almost a year and the tears and splits in it have gradually gotten worse and worse. Last week I brought the blanket over to my grandma's house to see if there was anything she could do to fix it. My grandma is a master seamstress so of course she could fix it. She's brilliant at these kinds of things. When my mom brought it over to my house Brycen was so excited to see it. We wrapped him up in it, put him in the rocker in his room, and took this picture. He is so happy to have his blanket back! Thank you, Grandma, for your service and helping us get this family treasure back to working ability. We're all very happy to have it in use again. Especially Brycen! We love you so much, Grandma! Thanks again!

A few other notes about Brycen...

• Brycen recently started saying "foobaw" (football) and "boon" (balloon).
• He LOVES Wendy's chicken nuggets. They're his favorite!
• There is a new five minute show on Disney Junior called "Small Potatoes" that Brycen loves. It's a little show about kid potatoes with British accents and they sing about things like feelings, trains, what they want to be when they grow up, art, etc. It's a really cute show and Brycen loves it. Other favorite TV shows and movies: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, Jungle Junction, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Toy Story (2 and 3 as well), and Monsters Inc.
• He started hitting on September 19th. Yes, I know the date. We were in signing papers on our house with the realtor and he hit me right over the head. It's been a fun week with that one!
• Yesterday was his 18-month appointment. He still has a week or so till he's 18 months old but since we're moving on Saturday we thought we'd better get him in at Dr. Smith's office one last time. At this visit he was weighed and measured and he also had a flu shot. Brycen had a fever for a couple of days so we were glad he had an appointment scheduled to get to the bottom of that one. (We've been really lucky to have appointments already scheduled around the times he's gotten sick recently.) He had a sore throat, but nothing too serious that he needed to take anything for it. Naturally we went to Wendy's and got a frosty after his appointment. :) Here are his numbers:
