Hangin' Out with Jack & Lill

On Tuesday night we spent the evening with Dustin and Erika's little ones
Lillie (2) & Jack (3 months).
They went out on a date so Tyson and I watched the kids.
We had a lot of fun with them!
And it was good practice for later. :)
While they were here we:
read books....

colored in coloring books...

and ate dinner.

Cute kids! We love them!

Shane & Sara's Wedding

We were able to attend our brother-in-law Steve's (Tyson's sister's husband) sister
Sara's
wedding dinner and reception last Saturday, January 2nd.
The wedding was earlier in the day in the Idaho Falls Temple, then we attended the dinner and reception at
the Colonial Arts Theatre in Idaho Falls.
It turned out to be a very nice evening.Sara's colors were red, gold, and torquoise. It was so pretty!
Shane and Sara looked so happy! What a great day.

The Sargent kids singing "Love" - it was so cute!
("L - is for the way you look at me..." - that one.)

Shane's mom talking about Shane and Sara

And it wouldn't be a party without Kate! I love this picture. The dresses Sara picked out for the girls were so darn cute, I just loved them!

The back

Those boys just loved the cake.
This picture reminds me of a picture of my brother Aaron when he was a little older than these kids.
It was at my uncle Blake and aunt Janell's wedding, and he and Brandon are staring at the cake licking their lips ha ha. I wish I had a copy of it!

Cooper was excited to finally get some cake. :)

Another Rediculous Night of Wheel

You know where this post is going! I've been known to post about rediculous contestants on "Wheel of Fortune." And this isn't going to be any different!

Tonight we wanted to just freak out. We were so frustrated! Tyson and I were ready to throw stuff at the TV. Here's the situation:

The puzzle was titled "Proper Names," which meant the answer would be the name of a person/people, city, state, etc. The letters were coming up, and one of the contestants was ready to solve. The puzzle answer was obviously "Regis Philbin & Kelly Ripa." However, not all the letters in "Philbin" or "Kelly" were in view. So the contestant attempts to solve the puzzle by saying:

"Regis PhilBURN & Kelly Ripa"

They didn't give it to him because "PhilBURN" is obviously not correct. So the next contestant attempts to solve with:

"Regis PhilMIN & Kelly REEpa"

Seriously? Both names slaughtered. So the next contestant attempts another shot with:

"Regis PhilMIN & Kelly Ripa"

Got Kelly's name right but not Regis'! So the next contestant opens up the ENTIRE puzzle and says (just had to read it but whatever):

"Regis Philbin & Kelly RYpa"

Nope, wrong again. Are you serious!! FINALLY the first contestant of the bunch solved it correctly by saying:

"Regis Philbin & Kelly Ripa"
___________
Wow. No one knew how to pronounce their names. Have you ever had one of those moments where you were so shocked at what you were witnessing that you couldn't even speak? That's how it was at the Miller house this evening. And we just HAD to share and keep this moment on record! But even though this was a completely rediculous "Wheel of Fortune" moment, we'll still be faithful viewers for sure!

Baby Boy Update

I am currently 5 1/2 months pregnant. How in the world did that happen?! It seems like yesterday I was at 6 weeks and freaking out. I have enjoyed being pregnant so much. It has been a wonderful experience!

I have had some requests to post belly pictures. I promise those will be coming! I have been taking pictures every four weeks, and the next one will come up at week 24 (in 2 weeks). So I'll post some then. In the mean time, I've had a few thoughts and experiences that I want to share and keep for record:

  • Baby Boy has been moving around A LOT more than before. It is very apparent that there is a baby inside of me! At first (at around 14 weeks) I started feeling little flutteries that were super light. Then out of nowhere I started feeling a lot more movement. This is quite the active child I'm carrying!
  • When I went to lunch with Tyson's mom, sisters, and other girls in the Miller family last Monday I felt the baby kick for the very first time. I set my arm on my stomach and almost immediately felt a kick from the little guy. I was so excited I cried! Everyone was really excited for me, and I was just tickled to death! Tyson's mom and sister joined in on the tears and it was a great moment. One to remember forever!
  • That night after I had felt the baby kick for the first time I was hoping and praying Tyson would be able to feel it too. While we were watching TV in bed I put Tyson's hand on my stomach and held it there. I felt the baby moving inside me, but Tyson couldn't. I soon felt a big lurch in my stomach. And sure enough I looked over at Tyson, and by the look on his face he confirmed that he felt the baby move. He was so excited! It made me feel so happy to see Tyson's excitement. He said it made things very real for him from that moment. He hasn't been able to feel what I've felt. So him feeling our little boy kick was a precious moment for us.
  • The last few nights the baby has been moving like crazy. I woke up at about 5 am today and it felt like my stomach was actually moving up and down from all the movement. I didn't fall back asleep till the baby calmed down. It is the coolest feeling! I love it.
  • In church today the baby would kick every time I folded my arms over my stomach. I guess he didn't want them there! It was so fun, I kept laughing when it happened.

Being pregnant has been an experience that I will always cherish. I am grateful for the opportunity to take care of this little guy before bringing him into this crazy world. I am so excited to be a mom and think about how he is a part of me every time I look at him. I love him so much! I don't think I've ever loved anything more. It is definitely a wonderful feeling.

The One Where We Celebrated the New Year

Happy New Year!
We hope you all had a great time with friends and family celebrating and welcoming
2010.
We had a blast with Amber, Che', Dustin, and Erika at Amber and Che's house!
(and baby Jack, of course.)
_____

We ate pizza for dinner, then munched and played games the rest of the night. Dustin and Erika brought their fondue pot and we dipped lots of goodies in chocolate fondue. Delish!
We also watched a classic New Year's episode of Friends.
("The One with the Routine")

Then we broke open the bubbly (aka Martinelli's sparkling grape) and watched the ball drop at Times Square.

Jack also got into the holiday spirit ha ha. Too cute!

Amber & I

Happy 2010!
May this year bring all of you happiness and joy!

The next morning we woke up to a little bit of snow that hasn't stopped since.
Tyson has been getting some good use out of our snow blower!

'Tis the season for lots of snow!
